Very little blackwork is reversible. Most of it is done with filler stitches, which are simple straight stitches done in a lacy pattern. By the way, blackwork is a technique, not a color. Mine are mostly pictorial blackwork, that is, they are pictures or objects you can identify. I have some band samplers and other charts, too.
